This study investigated the potential of hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) to treat osteoarthritis (OA) in humans and animals. In vitro and animal studies showed that CBD can reduce inflammation, and a 4-week randomized placebo-controlled, double-blinded study in dogs with OA demonstrated that CBD significantly decreased pain and increased mobility. The study also found that liposomal CBD was as effective as non-liposomal CBD in improving clinical outcomes, and there were no significant negative effects observed. These findings suggest that CBD may be a safe and effective treatment for OA in both humans and animals.
This safety study on 10 healthy adults taking CELLg8™ Hemp daily for 30 days showed that 339 out of 340 tests either improved or stayed the same, and all participants with high glucose levels had normal levels after the study. In this study, 15 healthy patients who were not taking CBD at the start were given both a standalone CBD ingredient and a liposomal CBD preparation, with blood tests taken at baseline and 1 hour after ingestion. The results showed that the liposomal preparation had significantly higher bioavailability than the standalone CBD, with all patients who took the liposomal preparation showing detectable levels of CBD in their blood after 1 hour compared to only 40% of those who took the standalone ingredient.
